As we approach the Christmas season, the villages and towns across Cornwall turn into winter wonderlands, as local business and residents get into the Christmas spirit and really put their heart and souls into making their properties sparkle and shine with stunning lights and decorations. A remarkable sight indeed.
GIN & CAKE
Did you know about the Cornwall (Falmouth) tradition of giving gifts of Gin and Cake in times gone by? Why not include these gifts on your Christmas shopping list and enjoy them during your stay in either our “Treview” or “The Old Coffee Shop”?
CARD & BOARD GAMES
Many relationships are tested over a game of Scrabble, Monopoly, and Poker over the Christmas break. It’s hard to imagine the tradition of board games, playing cards or parlour games not having a place in our lives at this time of year. It’s also a terrific way of bringing all generations together in the surrounds of a cosy, warm atmosphere to enjoy a fun night in.
BOXING DAY DRINKS
We are so fortunate to have the renowned Jamaica Inn within walking distance of our properties. The “local” will always welcome visitors with open arms and ensure a fun and festive night is enjoyed by all. During the day, it is a great spot to stop by for a warm beverage after a refreshing walk on the Bodmin Moors. Watch out for their “Ghost Hunt” events happening in January 2021. More info here.
